Han Yi has recently joined ALXA Society of Entrepreneurs & Ecology (“SEE Association”), becoming one of the few law firm members of the Association.
SEE Association is a non-profit environmental NGO initiated and established by nearly a hundred famous Chinese entrepreneurs with the aim of embodying entrepreneurial spirit and keeping the environment clean. Today, SEE Association has almost four hundred members and already established nine program centers across China. SEE Association is not only one of the most influential environmental NGOs, but also the largest patron in the non-governmental environmental public welfare sector in China. Taking the improvement of ecological environment in ALXA area as a starting point, SEE Association promotes the development of non-governmental environmental protection by launching community programs, granting environmental awards and organizing entrepreneur communication activities, and provides an effective platform for China’s entrepreneurs to participate meaningfully in environmental protection as well as to undertake more ecological and social responsibilities. In 2008, SEE Association established SEE Foundation, which has since then sponsored environmental programs covering prairies, forests and wetlands of up to 80,000,000 mu and facilitated the collaboration of more than 60 environmental NGOs in the field of prevention of industrial pollution. In addition, SEE Foundation also cooperates with other environmental organizations such as the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Energy Foundation (EF) and the Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) on the establishment of environmental groups and cultivation of environmental talents.
Han Yi deeply agrees with the idea and pursuit of SEE Association, since Han Yi lawyers always regard environmental protection as the obligation of every citizen and every enterprise. The firm is honored to join SSE Association as a member and hopes to dedicate its professional knowledge in legal practice and enthusiasm with environmental protection to SEE Association and a better environment of the country.
