Ant Financial Services Group ("Ant Financial") has recently completed its Series C equity financing totaling approximately USD14 billion. Participants include existing shareholders and leading global institutional investors including GIC, Warburg Pincus, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and General Atlantic, among others.

As the PRC counsel to GIC, the lead investor of this round of financing, the Han Yi team assisted with the PRC legal due diligence review and investigation, review and comment of principal transaction documents, and advice on special PRC law issues related to the structure of this deal.

Ant Financial, the operator of financial service brands such as Alipay, Yu’ e Bao and Zhima Credit, is a provider of small and micro financial services under the Alibaba Group. It offers mobile payment and a wide array of other digital financial services to individuals and enterprises worldwide.
